At Astican, safety comes first and to guarantee safety at the workplace, good coordination of shipyard workers in their various tasks is very important to us.
We currently have an effective electronic work permit system implemented in our company, with which we control how and under what conditions work is carried out to do it safely. Furthermore, all affected parties are informed at the same time.
Our company works with a large volume of subcontractors, so this system saves us time in administrative tasks, since permits can be easily requested by contractors and employees by pushing a button and it allows to those responsible for the area involved to be aware about the ongoing permits and can track all permits’ status in real time.
In addition, the company aims to improve its environmental behaviour and reduce electricity and paper consumption and thanks to the implementation of this digital permit (e PTW) we have reduced costs on paper and printing considerably.
