What is happening at Astican this week

This week we have at our facilities the Deck Cargo Barge Smitbarge 12, of Damen Shipyard Gorinchem.

She is currently sailing under the flag of Netherlands. Her gross tonnage is 2076 tons, her length overall is 75.05 meters. She is 23.55 m wide.

Some of the jobs carried out are removal and refit of bottom plugs, hull treatment (scraping, painting and HPW cleaning), painting after chipping the rust, and opening of manholes to get access for inspection of tanks.

 

 

 

We also have Thor Omega at our facilities, she was with us last year.

Thor Omega is an Offshore Supply Ship that was built in 2008 and is sailing under the flag of Faroe Is. She came from  Rio de Janeiro and she is now at ASTICAN Shipyard to carry out some repairs before going to Egypt; some of these  works are: Overhauling of thruster by Kongsberg, extension of some vents on deck and pipes in the engine room.
