Last Friday 13th June we had the opportunity to enjoy a very special day at Bocabarranco beach in Gáldar. In collaboration with the Ayuntamiento de Gáldar and the Terramare Medioambiente Association, we carried out an environmental awareness action. More than 70 people from our team participated voluntarily in this initiative. During the morning, we reflected on the importance of caring for our marine ecosystems, the impact that our daily habits can have and how small actions can make a difference in protecting the natural environment.
This action is part of our annual teambuilding activity. On this occasion, the experience also included outdoor activities, culture, and a lot of team bonding; we took advantage of the location to enjoy a yoga session in front of the sea and a fun game of beach volleyball, which allowed us to strengthen team cohesion in a relaxed and natural environment. We closed the day with a walk through the old town of Gáldar and a guided tour of the impressive Cueva Pintada, also organised by the Tourist Office of the Ayuntamiento de Gáldar.
These types of activities are a sign of our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals and to the oceans, which are essential for global sustainability and closely linked to our activity.
And, of course, they also reinforce what we value most: the people who are part of our team. Involved, hard-working and passionate people, who also know how to enjoy, disconnect and share great moments.
