Mixed reAlities for tRaining IN shipyArds project – MARINA

This innovation project consists of the development of a maintenance system assisted by augmented reality (AR) in real time, 3D scene and object recognition with remote interaction capacity and a natural interface managed by voice and gestures.

The MARINA system is a tool that will not only allow ASTICAN to train its professionals, both internal and external, but also to retain the knowledge of professionals with many years of experience.

Currently there are no known or commercial training systems for the ship repair sector, so MARINA will be the first system of these characteristics where virtual reality is incorporated as the main innovative element, where artificial intelligence and computer vision systems will be used to recreate new training and training scenarios using authoring techniques.

This project is being carried out thanks to co-financing from the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), from the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
