Our IT manager, Agustín Tapia, took part in the round table entitled “Open Innovation Processes through Public-Private Collaboration: Lessons Learned” at the Patents Week organized by the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This nationally renowned event is dedicated to the protection of industrial and intellectual property as an economic driver.
It was a privilege for us to be a part of this distinguished initiative. The main objective of this initiative is to raise awareness in the innovative ecosystem about the importance and value of protecting high-quality research, thus contributing to the technological advancement and development of the Canary Islands.
In addition to the round table, there were networking sessions, meetings between technical staff, researchers, start-ups, and university spin-offs, as well as open innovation programmes in companies.
The main objectives of Patents Week include providing a space for interaction among various actors in the Canary Islands‘ and national innovative ecosystem, promoting the commercialization of knowledge within the productive and business environment, fostering the transfer of excellent research results to enhance the social and economic growth of the Canary Islands, and expanding understanding of industrial property through outreach activities and educational programs aimed at young people and children.
Thank you to everyone, and we look forward to seeing you in the next edition!
